MANY years ago, I feed Science Diet to my 2 dogs. Both lived to be 17+ years with no nutrition related problems. Then local stores stopped carrying it. I began using other brands. Frankly, while some earned my respect, they didn't have my complete confidence. I adopted a pup from local humane society. At first vet visit I was told he looked like he had a lot of Akita. I was told to feed large breed puppy food. I looked up Akita and he strongly resembles that breed. I knew nothing about the breed. Online information indicated males could reach 100+ pounds. He was 5 pounds take home weight. Yesterday, vet weight was just over 40 pounds. A 35+ pound weight gain in just over 3 months. My current dog food is good quality. I began looking for better. I looked here and rediscovered Science Diet. In his first transition feeding, he picked all the Science Diet kibble out before eating other. So taste is not going to be a problem. I like the larger kibble. I also like that there's different flavors. This can help prevent boredom with the food. The cost here is comparable to most other brands. I have high hopes that again I'll have no nutrition related problems through out his life.

I’ve raised boxers for 45 years, the last 3 on this. Simply put it is great food. The vet is dumbfounded at the muscle mass & health of my pups. This food is worth the money & the hype. Great food leads to a happy & healthy pet. A++£££

Everyone out there has an opinion on dog food. If you do a search, science diet is considered a "mid-level" brand which to some people, mid-level is still trash because they like feeding their dogs gold plated meat for extra minerals. Truth is, the food that works best for your dog is the best food out there. I have a chocolate lab/weimaraner mix and science diet is the best food that i have found for my dog. When you change foods don't forget to slowly integrate the new food in with the old one. My dog like the larger kibble bits that comes in this bag as opposed to other large breed brands that have small kibble bits you would see in toy breed foods. My dog has seemed to like the chicken more than the lamb and it looks like it easier on her digestive system. The best thing I like about this bag is that it gives her the healthiest stools out of any other brand I have tried. I works for us but its really just trial and error for what works for you

I have used this dog food for a while now and it has served my adult dogs and puppies needs. I appreciate the prompt delivery through PRIME; when going through the breeding stages with my Great Pyrenees twice a year, it has been a huge timesaver having it delivered to my door. At the height of the feedings for the puppies, I was going through 2 bags a month or more of this kibble. I do wish they could sell this food in larger quantities for those of us who need more than the normal bag. I use this as the base for the puppy gruel (soaking the kibble in hot water), add in Oatmeal and closterium and a few other nutrients and it works great! We fed 10 puppies and 2 adults during the post whelping periods. I recommend this kibble to our clients.

I switched to this from Purina One large breed puppy food about a month ago. My dog just never liked the Purina One. She inhales this Science Diet, and she's also had much easier bowel movements (still firm and easy to clean up, but not like pooping bricks). It's a bit expensive, but Hill's is a trusted name in pet nutrition, they help a lot of animal shelters, and my dog likes it.
