It's hard to overstate how bad tripe smells, it really does stink! Cover it and pop it in the refrigerator quickly after opening so you can breathe easier. But stink is exactly what dogs find enticing and my hound mix can barely wait for me to put the bowl down. He is not a picky eater at all, but he usually waits across the room for his meals to be prepared. Since starting on this wet food, he sits perched on the bed next to his food station and practically pounces on it as I'm setting the bowl down. I like that it has a looser texture to it and isn't a solid tube of pat¨¦. I'm working on getting him to drop some pounds, so I mix a scoop of this in with steamed veggies, a shot of warm water to loosen it up and bring up the scent, and either orijen light & fit or ziwi peak air dried food. As long as the veggies are coated in the wet tripe, he won't spit them out. It is pricey, but worth it in the long run.
