Cat Hill's™ Science Diet™ Adult 7+ Indoor

I wish my cat liked it. I think he enjoyed the flavor, but the bits were too big and thick for him to eat. He currently eats a different kind of science diet that has smaller bits, but I wanted to get him on this one. Sadly, it’s not for him. I gave it 5 stars because my boyfriend’s cat eats it and loves it. It’s not the company’s fault that my cat has a hard time eating food.

We have a 7-yr-old cat in the household who was getting too much protein from the regular Age 1-6 kibble, so we started individually feeding him this--the regular kibble is also ScienceDiet, but the senior cat fell in LOVE with this one and demands it all the time. We actually have to keep the younger cats from stealing it because apparently this just tastes so much better than the regular kibble. We can tell it's healthy for the senior cat because he used to (and still does) throw up when he ate too much regular kibble, but he's always perfectly fine after eating this.

We have three cats, one of whom will not eat wet food. She only eats dry food and to manage her weight we have been using this for seven years. Never any issues with tract or bowels. Some of that is luck but all three cats eat dry food and two eat wet and none have had any issues requiring a vet due to diet. While each cat is different, mine have been active for years and had SUPER shiny coats that even vets comment on and ask what we feed them. We complement this dry food with Halo wet food, usually succulent salmon. I recommend both.

I got my sweet kitty Nana (actually she was a nasty old thing) when her elderly owner passed on. She was obese, sedentary, and kinda grungy-looking. She'd only been fed supermarket kibble and those awful plastic containers of wet food. I was concerned Nana wouldn't take to healthier kibble, but there was no problem at all. And she immediately started dropping the pounds. With less weight came more activity, with more activity came more muscle, happiness, and desire to keep herself clean. Et voila! Nana has transformed herself into the youngest-looking 17-year old cat I've ever seen! She's even shiny and pretty now. And she loves me now too! (I've always loved her, cuz I'm a total push-over.) Now if only she didn't wake me up at night with her snoring...

My cats didn't seem too crazy about this food at first so I mixed with some of their old food to get them to eat it and now they wont touch the old food. I will say the pieces of food are bigger than most cat food but it didn't stop my cats. Also, my Vet told me to put them on this food to loose weight and its been about a month and it seems to be working.
