Our "baby" started with Greenies when his permanent teeth first came in and got one a day for the remainder of his almost 17 years. They were his favorite treat, only surpassed by a fresh steak bone. He never experienced bad breath or dental problems for the duration of his life. Never experienced tooth decay or tarter build up. He has passed now but I would highly recommend Greenies to any dog owner.

We have had a subscription to these treats for a while now. My dog Buddy who is about 55 lbs and a lab retriever mix is not usually a picky eater but he prefers chews and softer treats to biscuits. He does enjoy these treats and the larger quantity boxes are better value for the money. We try to give him a chewy once a day or once every other day to help with teeth cleaning. He chews through these in about 30 seconds with the regular size. They have always been pretty good in quality and they dont have a bad smell. They are a nice treat for him and he likes them everytime.

These things smell like alfalfa.... which is great for people like me that has horses and actually likes the smell of alfalfa. My dog loves them, alfalfa smell and all..... and he’s an English Bulldog, not a dog that’s been raised around horses and has enjoyed a nibble of alfalfa now and then.... like my Australian Shepherd.... But most of the time his “nibbles of alfalfa” are typically eaten first by the horse, “processed secondarily”, and rendered in the open air to become fertilizer or nesting material. Now one would think that this process would leave the alfalfa in a fermented state that would leave an offensive odor however to many of us, it’s almost enjoyable..... So it bares to question if the smell of my English Bulldogs breath (after eating one of these biscuits) is comparable with the smell of my Australian Shepherds breath after eating the alfalfa scented equine excrement? Yes, I’d say the smell was quite similar.

I give Greenies to my 2 dogs every Saturday night after I wash the dishes. I don't know how they do it, but they seem to know when it's Saturday. They sit in the kitchen eagerly waiting for me to finish the dishes. When I'm done, I say to them "what's next?". They coax me upstairs to get their beloved Greenies. I guess they like them!

i used to give my GSD greenies rarely, just when she had dog breath from eating god knows what on her walk. they are expensive, and so i saw no reason to give them to her every day. but as she got older, her teeth became stained, and she rally hates it when i brush her teeth. i can do it, but it is always a struggle. so last year,i started giving her one greenie every day, and the stains have mostly disappeared from her teeth. an older dog's quality of life can be very much affected by tooth decay, so i am glad to have found that greenies work so well to clean her teeth.
