My cats aren’t too picky when it comes to dry food. I let them graze through out the day. I did notice that the kibbles are on a larger side. But that’s ok, because this will encourage them to chew the food not just suck it up like a vacuum cleaner.I’m not rating the “flavor” because I really don’t feel like tasting one. But by looking at my cats they seem to be enjoying them. The smell isn’t over whelming like wet cat food.

My 13 year old long hair cat has in the last year or so been having some difficulty trying to harf up hairballs more frequently, and you know that sound... and her hairballs were mixing with her food and staining everything they landed on. I bought this hoping to help her dissolve her hairballs, but what I wasn't expecting was that she LOVES this food! So now we just wait and see if it reduces her hairball projectiles.

I just noticed in my last Science Diet order the manufacturer change morsel size to smaller. Why do they continue to mess with the morsel size. I have a cat with ferocious appetite and must be give specific portion and feed separate from my other cat. Otherwise, he would eat the whole bowl in 5 minutes. Because the morsel size is smaller, my cat is swallowing some of the morsels whole and throwing up his food.Long-Time Customer of Science Diet

So, we’ve been feeding this cat food to our boys for a long time. They have been eating this along with several different wet foods every day. One of our cats ( a small 10 lb guy) vomits on a regular basis. To test which food was the problem we fed only one type of food for a few days until we figured out that it appears to be the Hill’s Science Diet. I have deduced that it is the size of the bites that is a problem. He really struggles to eat this. We now also offer Blue Buffalo Indoor Health with Lifesouce Bits which he can eat more easily.Wish the Hill’s pieces were smaller. The ingredients I think are good but now I am going to have to either grind this food to see if that helps or stop buying it altogether.

Our 3 year old cat was coughing up hairballs at least 2 times per week. She grooms incessantly. I tried Laxatone, which helped a little, and then I remembered Hills' Science Diet Hairball Formula. I mix it half and half with her original kibble and she hasn't had ONE single hair ball since being on Hills. It's darned close to a miracle and worth the price.
